Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Maidenhead

Gandhi Indian Restaurant

13 Boyn Hill Ave, Maidenhead SL6 4ET, UK – 01628 566818

Food was alright. Nothing special. We did not enjoy the onion bhaji. They were not crunchy. The spicy paneer was very good. We had a peanut sauce lamb curry and a Goa fish green curry. Both curries were nice but nothing extraordinary. Price wise I think it was expensive for what we got.

4.5 Stars! Great food! Made special food to suit our dietary requirements! Thank you for a great evening! Good service, slightly expensive though.

Fantastic little place and always busy at lunch time. I love the menu here and the sushi and service is excellent. Reasonable prices as well

Lovely independent spot in Maidenhead. Great lunch deals - the sushi and udon are delicious. Very friendly owners, gets very busy for weekday lunches.

Boulters

Boulters Lock Island, Maidenhead SL6 8PE, UK – 01628 621291

Food wasn’t anything too special, could’ve gotten the same style of food from an average pub for much cheaper. I suppose you pay for the location, the restaurant was nicely decorated and right on the river, but the service was absolutely awful. We had a table at 12:15 and after eating a three course meal, which would typically take us an hour and a half to finish, we only left at 3:15 because the wait times were that long. We had 4 different waiters and each of them seemed to be covering for the others. Very disappointed because the atmosphere was lovely. Staff needs more training for sure.

A nice place to sit for a pint. The terrace on the second floor is great. Unfortunately though the brasserie only has 2 tables outside. Food is OK for what you pay. Parking is limited, but there is parking near the raymead road park roughly a 5 minute walk. It also has mooring in case you are visiting by boat or canoe. Be aware that it gets particularly busy in the afternoons. The staff is hit and miss, as sometimes they are spot on and some not quite. All in all a good place for a drink or a snack.
